Meera has been recognized as a Top Attorney in Austin Monthly magazine for several years. She has served on the Board of American Gateways for over six years, a non-profit that provides legal services to the immigrant community in Central Texas. She is licensed to practice in both Texas and California, and speaks Spanish fluently.
Before entering private practice in 2017, Meera held leadership roles in government, including General Counsel to the US Embassy in Baghdad, where she was awarded a Campaign Medal of Honor. She also held the role of Assistant Dean for Global Programs at NYU Law School, where she launched a global legal education program spanning four continents.
Meera first moved to Austin as an undergraduate student at UT, and she fell in love with the city. Her law school and career path took her away to many places for numerous years. Eleven years ago she had the chance to return, and she hasn't left since. Meera has a passion for cooking, enjoys running, swimming, and exploring nature, and deeply values spending time— preferably outdoors— with her family and community.
