Anna Kana
Anna has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2009. A proud Longhorn, Anna earned both her bachelor’s degree and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin, both with honors.
Before joining RSM, Anna was an associate attorney for several years at a prominent Texas law firm where she practiced primarily administrative law, but gained experience in a broad array of legal fields. Anna now provides general counsel work for small businesses, with a focus on contracts. She has experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating many different types of business contracts, including professional service agreements, employment agreements, liability waivers, and confidentiality agreements. She enjoys learning about each client’s business and considers their unique concerns, budget, and risk tolerance when working on their contracts.
In addition to her general counsel practice, Anna leads the firm’s trademark practice. Whether a client has been using a trademark for years or has a new trademark they would like to register, Anna works with companies to protect their brands. She performs availability searches, advises regarding the strength and protectability of a trademark, prepares and prosecutes applications for registration, and enforces trademark rights against infringers.
Anna grew up in Cedar Park, has lived all over Austin, and now calls Round Rock home. She is married to an Austin Fire Marshall with whom she is raising two amazing children and two three-legged rescue dogs. When not working, Anna can often be found watching youth sports, practicing barre, reading, or boating on the lake.
